Frequently Asked Questions: Scottie Masters Division


Question: What is the Scottie Masters shell made of?

Answer: The Scottie Masters shell is made of fiberglass. The Scottie Masters shell is shipped in four separate pieces: the front, the rear, the hatch and the headrest.


Question: Am I able to buy individual parts for my Scottie Masters Car separately at a hardware supply store?

Answer: No. With the exception of optional weights, all hardware must be purchased from the AASBD.


Question: Am I able to apply tung oil on the interior of the Scottie Masters' shell to avoid itching from the fiberglass?

Answer: No. Tung oil is not permitted on the inside of the Masters' shell.


Question: Is it okay to sand the interior of the Masters' shell to minimize the raised fiberglass?

Answer: Yes. You may lightly sand the interior of the Masters' shell to minimize the raised areas of fiberglass. In addition, you may apply a thin coat of wax to the inside of the Masters' shell to seal it.


Question: Does the Masters Car require a screw in the tip of the nose?

Answer: Yes. One of the 1 1/4" screws is now required in the nose.


Question: May we use a Stock/Super Stock steering wheel in place of the Scottie Masters steering wheel?

Answer: No.
