Question: What is the Stock shell made of?
Answer: The Stock shell is made from styrene; the shell has a dull finish that can be waxed or buffed. The Stock shell is shipped in one piece.
Question: Am I able to buy individual parts for my Stock Car separately at a hardware supply store?
Answer: No. With the exception of optional weights, all hardware must be purchased from the AASBD.
Question: What updates must be made to existing Stock Cars and by when?
Answer: By October 1st, 2006, all existing Stock Cars must update the front and rear kingpin washer stacks in accordance with Step Three (Kingpin Installation) of the the 2007 Stock Car Plans.
By October 1st, 2006, all existing Stock Cars must update the steering assembly pulleys in accordance with Step Five (Steering Cabling Installation) of the 2007 Stock Car Plans. Turnbuckles on the steering cable may still be used on existing Stock Cars until after the 2009 All-American SBD Championship Race.
After the 2009 All-American SBD Championship Race, all Stock Cars must use the round PVC steering cable adjusters in accordance with Step Five (Steering Cabling Installation) of the 2007 Stock Car Plans.
After the 2009 All-American SBD Championship Race, all Stock Cars must use the longer Stock radius rods (aka stabilizer bars) with the slotted holes in accordance with Step Six (Stabilizer Installation) of the 2007 Stock Car Plans.

Question: What finishes may I use on my floorboard?
Answer: All existing Stock and Super Stock floorboards, including those engraved with the derby shield and 06, may be finished with tung oil.
New floorboards engraved with the derby shield and 07, then and thereafter, will be pre-finished by the manufacturer. Only a thin coat of wax may be applied to these pre-finished floorboards.
Particle floorboards are no longer legal in the Stock or Super Stock divisions.
Question: Do Stock Corporate Cars have to be updated to the latest plans?
Answer: Yes. All Stock, Super Stock and Masters Corporate Cars must be updated as specified in the latest plans.
