The Ultimate Speed Division is an All-American Soap Box Derby racing format developed to preserve the tradition of innovation, creativity, and craftsmanship in the design of a gravity powered racing vehicle. The goal of this event is to attract creative entries designed to reach speeds never before attainable on the historic Akron hill. The competition for each team consists of three timed runs (one run in each lane) First, second, and third place determined by a team's best overall elapsed time from start to finish line.
